Some day, we won’t focus on the difference, only on the talent

If you have time for only one of these videos, watch the first one – it’s only 60 seconds…

Someday, we won’t focus on the racial difference, only on the talent.

Stumbled upon his music in 2017 and immediately was taken by his style and content (lyrics).

Only recently did i learn about his race.

Someday, there won’t be such a thing as bi-racial.

Meanwhile…

He’s been asked since he started getting popular, “What’s your sound?”

Now that his second album is coming out in six days (Nov 9), he answers, “Kane Brown.”

Can i have some of your bad ones?

Some people would love to have your bad days. – unknown

This is a little dicey because “bad” is so subjective.

The paradox of packing everything you think you’ll need

Disney Keynote Speaker
The weight isn’t from material things.

The more stuff we have, the more we have to focus on how to carry it, store it, protect it, organize it, clean it, and possibly even how to insure it.

The paradox of packing everything you think you’ll need is that we spend so much time and effort on our stuff that we can be too distracted to see what’s in front of us.

Surrender like you mean it

Gapingvoid Art
Most people don’t exercise. Most don’t surrender either. Photo: yesterday’s email.

Surrender like you mean it.

My job as a business consultant and advisor is to evaluate.

To look, listen, and feel what is obvious to outsiders.

Why?

Insiders are too close.

They can’t see things with the clarity and unfiltered impressions a complete outsider sees.

This skill transfers – whether i want it to or not – to family, friends and colleagues.

To have valuable insight into undiscovered opportunity is a burden.

i surrender to what i can’t control.

Surrender requires a deep and complete letting go of the good choices never made.

Belief is a virus

jet in the sky
At 7:15am yesterday, a Saturday, i waited outside for a moment.

jet in the sky
Cheryl was returning to the house to pickup something i had just printed. Chapin was taking SATs and his digital registration (we only print if it’s required) wasn’t accepted by the school. They wanted a physical document.

Belief is a virus.

Worry begets worry.

Hope begets hope.

Like a virus, either place (worry or hope) we focus on will grow and fester rapidly and for a lifetime – if we let it.

Let it.

And choose wisely.

PS. Less than 24 hours ago, i can’t recall what led me to look up. Must be some type of virus.
