Blogging on my back, lying in bed – a first

Florida beach sunset church service
the pyschian is here for the sick and hurting, not for the healthy

Blogging on my back, lying in bed – a first. Who gives a crap right? Exactly. No one. And yet I carry on anyway. (note to self: that’s a really significant life success factor, don’t cha know!)

Dear Heavenly Father, please comfort and assist the people who need you so much more than I do tonight.

If my biggest worry tonight is not missing a day of blogging, then, well, I’m on easy street.

We are actually given too much of this good thing every single day

prayer room
if each day were a room, the prayers and blessings we have access to would look like this

We are actually given too much of this good thing every single day – that each of our daily actions holds a prayer. Ah yes, if we would only be present long enough to remember this. Perhaps our days would give us everything we need, and then some.

How many times God, how many times?

God's Love
recently a friend spontaneously shared they were reading this book (love the powerful, subtle title)

How many times have I cried out to you God?

How many times have I so needed you God?

And how many times have I not listened to your gentle, gracious reply?

And how many times have you saved me with a blessing I never noticed?

How many times have I thanked you?

How many times have I told you, “I love you”?

PS. I’m sorry. Thank You. I love You.

The devil is this close to us

material things
look closely, it’s a temporary facade constructed next to their house
material things
where is all this stuff stored, and how much more can be added to make it even scarier?

The devil is so close to us. He surrounds us with stuff. So much stuff we fuss over it, and make it hard on ourselves to let go of it.

But if we had only a short time left to love, we wouldn’t spend it loving our stuff. Would we?
