Yesterday was a Saturday. A better (day) alternative for traveling on Los Angeles highways. It was still slow, but not unbearable.

Our Cast Member ID’s were blocked out at Disneyland yesterday due to high attendance projections. We opted for a side-trip.

Insight: Everything looks bigger and better on TV and magazines. Was reminded how much Orlando, and Walt Disney World, appeals to us.

Backstage for Disney Keynote Speakers — His name is “JG”, short for Joseph Gabriel. i called him by his full name and told him he has an exceptional name.

Thanks to Brian Fallon at The Garden Theater for providing a first class audio visual experience. Made sure to personally thank him for everything.

Following the day long event was a vendor display with give-a-ways and incentives. Ran into JG, the AV tech that helped me. Had an embarrassing moment because i had the realization that while i thanked Brian, i never went upstairs (nor did i do it publicly while on-stage) to thank JG, Emily, and Jason.

Perfectly imperfect. Lesson (powerfully) learned.

Thank goodness for some of our blind spots. A client last night had some last minute questions and we jumped on an after-hours call. She commented, “You never tell people what they should do or what they should stop doing.”

Apparently, this is significant from her perspective as a leader and a trainer.

The conversation took a turn i wasn’t expecting. We tried all year to meet for an hour to catch up. It finally happened yesterday.

A former client at Disney Institute and one of Orlando’s most recognizable brands besides Walt Disney World.

Nearing the end of our hour, she initiated a transition to business conversation. Never saw it coming because of what i thought were political barriers.

It’s wonderful to be completely wrong sometimes.

Disney Keynote Motivational Speaker — Patience and timing are learned skills.

At the close of the young Priest’s homily (sermon) yesterday morning, i leaned over and whispered to our Son (15), “He rushed the punchline”.
