What does it sound like when you change your spirit?

We arrived early for school drop off like we always do.

Because of the cold temperature (for Central Florida), we agreed to wait in the warm car for 20 minutes before first period.

We observed things we never see.

Most cars are upscale cars.

Most are new, or newer.

Our 2002 Camry might be an anomaly among non-staff vehicles.

Asked our son as we were sitting in our warm car, “Do you think if there was a list of all the parent’s and student’s cars, ours would win for being the oldest?”

A changing spirit sounds like peace and contentment.

Peace with who you are and content with what you have.

Nursing homes really make you think.

What do we envision our final years being comprised of?

No one really plans on a nursing home.

But if that’s the hand we’re dealt, how would we respond to daily life, knowing this was the final home for us – never would there be any other option.

Of course, Hospice is probable, but you would most likely remain in the nursing home.

i love feeling uncomfortable with thoughts like these.

The best time to concern ourselves with stuff like this is when we don’t need to be.
