On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Choosing is ridiculously easy

Glad it wasn’t raining when Shaun arrived.

Every human is capable of great compassion or great indifference.

So powerful.

So easy for us to choose.

The easy choice is to do nothing.

Ridiculously easy.

May each of us grow into a life of compassion, in spite of the easy road, and the tempting choice of indifference.

Accidental screen shot yesterday. Just noticed that it happened exactly as Mickey was blinking.

A busy December schedule can blind us to the incredible joy of the season. The world at the time (2015 years ago), was actually in the moment of a savior being born. Incomprehensible.

Yet, all these years later, Christians have the conscious ability to comprehend it.

But do we?

i find this time of year (December) especially busy. And each year i vow it will be different next year and all the years in the future.

Being still and quiet should never be far away

Epcot’s Canada pavilion. Yesterday (a day early) i sent my client a text of this, telling her, “i’m in Canada today.”

Being quiet, still even, is rare. And valuable. Kinda like a power docking station for our spirit.

Even with a busy three-day business trip, i plan on carving out quiet, self-reflective space from otherwise busy days in unfamiliar places, surrounded by unfamiliar people.
