Leaning towards not having anything to add to Mid Life Celebration except the monetary buffer.

Backstage note: When i wrote the goal on page 86 (question 9), consciously knew i was understating what i believed.

Why?

To keep hope alive (and not sound egotistical).

It wasn’t until a couple years after publishing that i thought of a revision for the book.

Instead of, “I have a decent (at least 90 days) rainy day fund.”

Finally realized i could have (should have) written it this way: “I have a perpetual rainy day fund.”

It was inspired when it finally became a personal reality.

i always knew my goal was to finally stop worrying about money.

But quietly i wanted to know if it was possible for me. And if so, how long it would it take.

Turns out it was possible far sooner than expected.

Hey, don’t tell your dad i’m telling you this but he told me his greatest wish (and belief) is that you will be a better man than he was.

And while your dad didn’t say this, i can tell you as your grandfather that that was my wish for your dad, that he’d be a better man than me. He exceeded my hope at every level.

Grandson, move forward in life knowing that your DNA is steeped in doing something you love that makes our world a little better than it was before we arrived.
