Captiva Day 4, spirit

ocean sunrise from small marina
The morning’s start at ‘Tween Waters marina. Usually the only people there.
12-second video: Standing on Mitchell’s Sandcastles’ beach. We see tons of birds.
11-second video: A special moment at a special place. Serendipitous timing. Karma. Love. Our first American Bald Eagle in three days. And, the only one we saw all four days.

We made a special trip to our Family’s annual Summer Florida beach destination. Our son grew up spending a week here every Summer for 20 summers.

Cheryl and i estimate we’ve visited Sanibel over 30 times.

Twenty five of those times with a ‘Canine Son’.

Luther, Carter, and Cooper all visited every Summer of their life.

Captiva Day 3, spirit

Never gets old. About 50 meters from our room. The Gulf is 100 meters to the West (which we see without leaving our room, the bay is 50 meters walk to the East.

Heading to see the status of Mucky Duck restaurant.

welcome to florida magnets
WTF, “Wow, that’s funny!”
15-second video: Just another day in paradise.

It’s fun to have attended Sanibel-Captiva “Church” since 1988 (38 years).

It’s weird to feel mostly expert-level, and yet total newbie-level on Captiva.

But more than weird, it’s a blast.

Hallelujah.

Captiva Day 1, spirit

Santa climbing s palm tree
A delightful surprise.

Was able to creatively shorten my drive-time perception.

Music rotation was the key.

Also made an unusually challenging commitment to stop looking at the clock and map milage.
