Disney Institute Team in Detroit 2011 — Stumbled upon the 2011 photo from a Disney Institute engagement in Detroit. Development can be as simple as encouraging others to have fun.

What are some of your earliest blogging memories?

In addition to fostering my personal peace, i have fond, powerful memories of:

Igniting personal creativity.

Captaining my own ship.

Making decisions with a small-business owner mindset.

Also have memories of colleagues doing the traditional MBA studies to ‘elevate’ their business acumen.

And i recall thinking, my self-directed MBA won’t deliver a paper-diploma.

However, it will deliver a remarkably more valuable diploma.

A diploma called a small, profit-producing business that can do nothing but become more profitable.

Everyone’s gotta eat and pay rent.

Disney Customer Service Advisor — Colorado State University during my final Summer (2014) as a Disney Institute Keynote Speaker.

What are some of your earliest blogging memories?

My Plan B to write a book was to have a Keynote Speaker “Business card”.

You can picture audiences sorta saying, “Oh, our keynote speaker is a published author.”

Sounds impressive.

Seemed like a reasonable tactic.

And since i was 25 years into my full-time Disney career, and a small-business building amateur, i was super busy and super ignorant.

Yeah, fun, early memories.

Disney Creativity Keynote Speakers — The Disney Approach to Creativity and Innovation is no longer taught at Disney Institute. i taught this session here at Orange County Convention Center. Photo is from where i stood for most of the Creativity and Innovation Keynote. It was a theater in the round stage.

Besides having a ton of questions, i also had a ton of ideas.

What are some of your earliest blogging memories?

My original blogging idea started in 2007 because i thought Disney Institute (DI) Facilitators could each have a blog and share Disney Institute essence, content, offerings, etc, as we traveled and taught The Disney Way to global business professionals.

Turns out Disney Institute was not ready for this rapidly growing social media opportunity. Remember, this is 2007.

On January 9, 2007, Steve Jobs just revealed the very first iPhone to the World.

So yeah, in 2007 there was a ton of digital ignorance, digital naivety, and digital inexperience.

Ironically and initially, i never had any notion blogging would become a potential personal resource.

Man, was i mistaken!
