Aim for perfection, settle for excellence.
Hone our habits so that we can eliminate as many blind spots as possible.
For example, we can often (daily) catch ourselves being openly critical of people and governments – as if they should both be perfect.
Yet if we exceed the speed limit, don’t come to a full and complete stop at every stop sign, and consistently use our smart phones while driving, we are as imperfect as the people and governments we “despise”.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Please forgive me for being a hypocrite. i try hard not to be. Being a teacher, i should be living the ideals as an exceptional role model.
But alas, i’m only human.
Perfectly imperfect.
As tempting as it constantly is, let no judgement or opinionated thought permeate my being.
Ever.
Lofty?
Heck yeah.
Impossible?
Maybe.
Maybe not.

Dear Son, we talked about the obvious, common, and glaring Christian faults – the stereotypical definition by which non-Christians view the Christian world (this sentence is a perfect example of my own stereotype).
This means people like me, a quiet, open-minded Christian who doesn’t profess faith and love with words, are labeled and grouped in without consideration.
Labeled the same way gays, lesbians, bi-sexuals and transgenders are stereotypically labeled – without consideration.
Two wrongs do not make a right.
We talked about how those who label are guilty of the very thing they despise – labeling.
Is there an antidote?
Serve like you mean it is done through our observable behaviors and the first victory is over self. The second ministry is won at home, in the kitchen, the garage, the hallways of our dwelling.
