They’re going to Paris, spirit

‘They’ can fly.

‘They’ are Cheryl and me.

We’re going to Paris.

Wheels up in 48 hours.

Feels like hitting the spiritual lottery.

T-minus 5 days, spirit

Every day i awake with two wonderful desires.

A desire to savor the world and a desire to save the world.

This makes it hard to plan the day.

Two week countdown, spirit

Husband and wife hug at airport
Photo: Chapin Noel, August 2009 at Orlando International Airport. Heading to Finland for the 2009 Master’s Track and Field World Championships. i flew through Paris. First time i ever saw airport security (anywhere) with AK-47s. Also, it was terrifying for me to navigate Paris’ airport to find my connecting flight to Helsinki. Note: Family stayed home.

Flying Internationally in two weeks for the first time with Cheryl will be an adventure.

And leaving an extra day early takes pressure off for the flight day to go smoothly.

A gift from France

Blurry, yet unmistakable.

A gift from France.

Cheryl texted the photo above as she and Debbie are almost on U.S. soil.

Freedom. Liberty. Posterity.

Grateful for all of it.

Everyday.

All day.

Remember how confused and emotional we were after 9/11?

Tweet regarding 2015 Paris Terrorists
Not sure why, but this Tweet is intriguing.

Remember how confused and emotional we were after 9/11?

Why?

With emotions at a fever pitch, tempers flared and many wanted revenge.

Emotions ranged from sorrow to unadulterated rage.

An eye for eye.

Couldn’t help but dig deep under the surface to discern the root cause of such a brutal, seemingly unprovoked and undeserved, and senseless killing of 3,000 innocent people.

Yesterday’s post recalled the answer from the discernment.

Hate.

A hate so deep and astonishingly pervasive.

The antithesis of love.

Seriously confused. Again.
