Shortly after relocating from Orlando to the Washington State-Idaho state line in 1982, i began missing warm weather and palm trees. Eastern Washington State is a mostly sunny place. It also has a short summer. Then it’s cold for nine months.
Took a bartending job at a small business with only two cassette tapes. The one i wore out was Buffett’s ‘Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes’.
The rest, as they say, is history.
