Lifetime Disney Passes, spirit

Disney balloons — Disney’s Magic Kingdom Theme Park.

Having free lifetime Disney Passes makes sense and provides a mountain of goodness…but probably only when you live close enough to visit any day of the week, 365 days a year. And we do.

The math is the math, spirit

woman riding bicycle — Freedom at a young age, for 2.5 weeks.

It’s easy to get sucked into the joyful and inspiring nostalgia of our incredible honeymoon trip.

In my head i envisioned Cheryl joining me on the possible Vancouver Island trip.

Bottomline on this scenario, i’d rather we made an intentional trip to revisit the special places. Trying to piggyback off of a paid business trip seems great…

Until you do the math.

And don’t even get me started on ROI. Didn’t map that out. Why? Didn’t need to. A $25k keynote speech is a massive responsibility. And a conflict of interest with a very special memory lane.

Island time is a daily goal

great questions — This may be one of the best questions i’ve ever thought of, “Do you live on island time?”

Had a call with Big Speak speakers bureau two days ago.

Tried to describe ‘island time’.

Tried. But didn’t succeed.

Why?

Hard to relate to my current-life-situation…

First social security payment.

Fixed income that feels like ‘enough’.

Complications with how to manage a Canadian company paying me.

Challenged by the long-haul travel times.

Spring Grove Area High School class of 1977 — Years ago, breakfast at Disney Springs with High School classmate Rene and his wife Cheryl (rival school).

Seriously, be ambitious.

Ask for and be…

Grateful, generous, kind.

Ps. It’s good for your soul.

Midlife Celebration the book at Disneyland Sleeping Beauty Castle — Disneyland’s Sleepy Beauty Castle, many years ago. Mid Life Celebration published in 2013. My idea to write a book happened 34 years prior. After 30 years of nothing, i wrote the first sentence. Then two years to finish all the writing. Then two more years to muster the guts to publish it.

The demons associated with guilty feelings delight in our fear and indecision.

The above 2014-ish riff has just been edited, May 13, 2026…

Please be careful and mindful. The demons associated with guilty feelings delight in, and are inspired by, our fear and indecision.
