The feeling that comes from simple gratitude

The night we got home from Glacier, a dip in the pool at 11:30PM.

The feeling that comes from simple gratitude.

Late yesterday afternoon i floated in the 93-degree pool water, surrounded by sunshine, palm trees, a chorus of Florida birds, and reflected that a day earlier i was not sure our flight would leave due to Montana’s late September Snowmageddon.

So grateful to be home.

The juxtaposition of the two geographic locations reminded me how much i love living in Florida.

Who’s the leader of the band that’s made for you and me? Mt. Reynolds the day after i summited.

Another Mt. Reynolds summit shot, with Mt. Clements (left, with snow).
Underlined: To spread joy like no other brand can. How cool is that?

Farewell dear friend

Haven’t memorized this mountain’s name yet.
Reynolds and one of only a handful of cars we saw all morning.
Going to the Sun Mountain. Faintly in the upper right corner (white image), you see more of the mountain.

Today is bittersweet.

Bitter because the high altitude hiking is done.

Sweet because i’m going to Disney World.

Also sweet because 2020 reservations are set.

No place like home

Yesterday morning. A huge weather change is just beginning to arrive.

No place like home.

That’s how the saying goes.

Five weeks in Glacier on this trip, and 10 weeks total this Summer.

That’s a long time to get familiar, and comfortable, with a magnificent place like Glacier National Park.

Ten weeks can begin to feel like home.

Leaving home can be challenging, and exciting. Same can be said for returning home. It’s unique to in both scenarios simultaneously.

Take the weather with you

Clouds and wind moved in as soon as we arrived at Grinnell Glacier for lunch. It got uncomfortably cold for us. Gem (formerly a glacier) pictured here showing dark clouds coming from West of the Continental Divide.
Super close to four Mountain Goats yesterday on our descent.

What does it mean to take the weather with you?

That no matter the actual weather, you illuminate your spirit in such a way, it feels like a perfect Chamber of Commerce day.
