Answered prayers often come disguised

Answered prayers often come disguised.

My goal isn’t to make him a runner.

My goal is to make him an adult.

An adult with a balanced approach to mind, body, spirit, work, and home.

Being on the Cross-Country team would cover all five boxes, with body leading the way, and mind and spirit a close second.

The unanswered prayer is that he keeps finding it plausible to return to practice.

From one (a little) to 10 (bet everything), how much are you willing to put at stake to make the change you seek?

 

You know how much courage it would take for a military leader, say 1000 years ago, to invade a foreign land by ship, and to order the last row boat to burn the ships before rowing to shore? That’s a true succeed or die situation. So, i’ve burned the ships.

Catholic Mass
Yesterday morning at 8:45am Mass.

 

Cheryl just returned from a two week Disneyland business trip. Most teenagers wouldn’t miss Mass if they didn’t go.

Saturday night i gave them the option to join me yesterday. Both declined.

Going solo, my seat choice was very different.

i love experimenting.

How many (simple) ways are there to increase our Faith?

Praying nothing bad happens in America today.

Would be lying if i said the thought of someone doing something harmful at this morning’s Watermelon 5k isn’t in the back of my mind.

This is exactly what the terrorist hope for – fear.
