Emotional Church

Toby Mac’s oldest son, Truett, is no longer on Earth. Just heard the news on the radio. He died unexpectedly on October 23, 2019.

Emotional Church.

What does that even mean?

What is your doctrine for your emotional and spiritual wellbeing?

How well does it serve you?

All the time, sometimes, not much?

When it serves you, what do you get from it?

Is this what you want?

Is this what you want for others too?

Hope your answers amaze you.

Celebrate victory over addiction

Disney’s Animal Kingdom yesterday.

Cheryl went to the gym at 7:15 AM before heading off to work at Walt Disney World yesterday.

Our son slept-in like a college freshman on Christmas break.

i wanted a big cardio activity.

It was 7:45 AM.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom (DAK) was the only Park open to Cast on New Year’s Eve, so off i went and 13 miles later…DAK.

PS. In 2001, on December 31, i stayed sober on New Year’s Eve for the first time since 1975.

Make your career your ministry

Christmas card.
Peeked out the bedroom window at 3:05 AM.

Make your career your ministry.

What if everything we did “as a career” was directly tied to our call to serve others?

Magic happens when people not only see and think differently, but especially when they act differently.

Helping others see, think, and do differently is why i exist.

Hope, healing, and Disney Magic

Gary Sinise at Epcot’s Candlelight Processional last night.

Hope, healing, and Disney Magic.

The Disney pre-show announcer used that exact phrase. Immediately wrote it down knowing i’d blog about it this morning.

Why?

Kinda mysterious, really.

Maybe it’s a type of trifecta that we can easily relate to. Who can’t use a little more hope, healing, or Disney Magic?
