Day 4 WGcab, spirit

mini van truck being loaded
Arriving 8:10 AM, 2.5 hours before wheels up.

Additional context for Summer 2024 is there is a chance we could stay the longest number of days ever.

Anything that’s never been done before has elements of excitement and impossibility.

i am leaning into the discomfort of the unknown.

Day 3 WGcab and Granite1n, Spirit

Person by small town sign
East Glacier Park is the name of the town. Some use the same “name” to describe the entire Eastern side of the Park.

Our original plan was to rent a motor boat after our 8:00 AM scenic boat tour.

The cold morning on the lake convinced us a motor boat is definitely a warm-morning activity.

So we returned early to our Lodge.

Day 2 WGcab, spirit

Close-up of wildflowers
Even after the flowers bloom, they’re still magnificently beautiful.
Close-up of wildflowers
It’s incomprehensible how the universe has figured out how to allow all living things to reproduce.
Mountains and lake
What we see with our eyes and what the iPhone captures are close, but not the same.
Lake surrounded by mountains
Two Medicine Lake and Two Medicine Valley.
Mountains and lake
Zooming in and you can actually see Upper Two Medicine Lake.
Two lakes in the mountains
There’s even a third lake called Lower Two Medicine Lake.

Yesterday was a rest, pack, and plan day.

Cheryl packs. i plan.

Looking forward to palm trees, sunshine, and 90-degree pool water.

Day 1 WGcab, spirit

mountains
Further North from Two Med we round a high mountain road curve on our way to Cut Bank Valley. Divide Mountain (here) is an important geographical landmark.

Turned on to Highway 89 at Kiowa Junction.

Turning off Highway 89. Cut Bank campground is five miles back in. Divide Mountain in background.

The long way is the short cut.

Never tire in pursuing peace and contentment.

Just as unexpected challenges consistently happen, so do motivating breakthroughs and progress.

Day 7 Walt Disney World, spirit

giant penguin statue
This is not what i’d wish to be famous for. But if you got it, flaunt it. Right?
giant penguin statue
Simply a “we were there” photo.

Rest?

Great concept.

Certain applications are obvious, even life-sustaining, like sleep.

But otherwise, i want to be running when the sand runs out.
