Why did the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy happen a few days ago?
I don’t know.
No one can say for sure.
They can’t.
And even if a note is found (and maybe there has), and the killer wrote a reason, are we really going to believe it to be the gospel truth?
Seriously?
And here’s my first take after only three days since the tragedy:
- may overwhelming love comfort the Families directly and indirectly impacted
- may the media stop feeding the frenzy and hysteria of negativity, and blame
- may everyone pause, for longer than we have in years, and look in the mirror
- may we ask ourselves to be this concerned over the small, unrecognizable, daily tragedies in that mirror
- may people reading this have the patience to figure out what I just said…
