Trail maker?

From the rain-forest-like hike two days ago.

Alan (hiking buddy from Lake McDonald Lodge) told me that the Blackfeet would tie a knot in a very young tree so that as it grew it became a trail maker.

True?

Don’t know, but it sure sounds reasonable and “Disney” innovative.

Feel it

In the shade in rainforest-like vegetation.

Feel it.

What?

Your life.

Does it feel like something?

Does it inspire you?

The journey is the joy, not the destination.

The destination never comes.

Well, depending what you believe, death is the destination – the third most magnificent day in your life.

The other two magnificent days are the day you’re born and the day you figure out why.

Are you trustworthy?

You can almost see Granite Park Chalet on the far left side edge where the dark and light meet.

Are you trustworthy?

Do you trust yourself to do the things you say in your head are important?

You can only help someone who is willing to help themselves.

Help yourself.

It’s your responsibility.

Turn your fears into history.

Some people appear hell-free

Yesterday heading East from Logan Pass.
Red Bus tours are famous in Glacier National Park.

Some people seem like they don’t have to deal with bad breaks, bad luck, setbacks and so on.

Ain’t true.

Everyone is going through hell no one knows about.

i used to think life is hell-free for some people.

With 60 years under my belt, i know better now.

A great spirit can be lonely if…

Shane is in front of Jeremy, pictured here. This trail is all new to me. Dragon’s Tail on the right.
Panorama of Dragon’s Tale (center). Hidden Lake on the right, Fusillade Mountain on left.
We made a left from where i took this photo and started climbing straight up, using all fours because of the steep grade. The peninsula curving left intrigues me.
As we climbed the views continued to stun us.
Shane (L) and Jeremy moved and secured a big rock that was too loose and hence a safety issue.
The highest i’ve ever climbed. There was still hundreds more feet up through rock climbing and i had already exceeded all my expectations.
Dragon’s Tale got smaller as did Hidden Lake (center).

A great spirit can be lonely if…

You don’t lift others up, so that they can lift others up.
