Knowing means nothing without execution.

My patience was tested two days ago 15 hours into a 16 hour travel day.

In the most undisciplined, irreverent, and original manner possible…

Learn your shortcomings like you mean it.

Thank you for losing my patience.

It was indeed an undisciplined and irreverent learning method.

Maybe it was original.

Praying for patience, like a broken record

Praying for patience, like a broken record.

Perhaps as treacherous as cancer, yet hardly ever thought of in this way, is the insidious habit of being impatient.

Impatience is a silent killer of our spirt.

The cure, as obvious as it sounds, is patience.

Period.

Common sense but not common practice

Patience is a virtue.

It was a risk to make him go to Track & Field practice two months late.

But after only two days of practice (the first was coincidently team photo day and no physical practice) he is willingly going to this morning’s practice.

Did i mention today is Saturday?

Did i mention he “hates” sports?

Thy will be done

Orange County Zoning hearing room — Before yesterday’s special request for zoning variances that determine the school’s future.

Thy will be done. Learning to surrender to what is uncontrollable is a constant balance of discerning what is controllable and what isn’t.

Meanwhile, the best strategy i have found is to pray for peace and contentment while simultaneously remaining determined.

A bit like driving with one foot on the gas and the other on the brake.

A huge lesson in patience (and faith) to let things unfold as they should.
