They qualified for my best keynote Speech fee because:
However, their contracted speaker’s fee was only a third of my best, local price.
And therefore, i wasn’t gonna be a possibility for them, even though they were desperate.
And they were seriously desperate.
Sixty people with plane tickets coming in for the annual conference.
i picked the right thing to do.
Their fee was honored – a price i would never accept normally.
We had less than 24 hours to make this work.
i worked hard to make it work.
They needed a hero.
Knowing this, how could i deny them?

Who are you upsetting?

i dare you to look me in the eye and tell me you adore mediocrity.
Maybe the only people you need to upset are your relatives who’ve slowly and quietly walked away from believing in a spiritual community – the same relatives who are becoming more fearful of death instead of seeing a new horizon with a glorious promise you can only realize through death – and a lifetime of gratitude, service, faith, hope, and love.

Dear Risk,
Thank you for the opportunity to spend our life savings with literally zero chance of success. We took the risk simply because we couldn’t live with the thought of not trying.
Last night, our 16-year old came to me (Cheryl is at Disneyland for two weeks) to share that he wants to extend his first novel’s publishing date indefinitely.
Patiently listening, i discerned his logic – and saw his passion – and totally support this.
The caveat, however, is that he start and complete a second book project – the original plan for a series of short stories – before he finishes 10th grade. In fact, by Christmas 2016 would be ideal.

The choice between PC or Mac is one that every business professional must make.
The choice between productivity, or, changing the world.
Affordable or expensive.
There are no inexpensive Macs.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.
