No one likes living with inaccurate labels

Grinnell Glacier Trail
What does each see in the other?

When you walk in humility and confidence, you dance with two partners who look like opposites.

The partners are confidence and arrogance.

This is challenging.

Why?

Perception.

Temptation.

People will talk behind your back about how glaringly opposite your partners are.

Arrogance and confidence.

And other people will respect and honor the habits and results you’ve carved out of your intentional life.

To eat, rest, and move with great consistency is glorious.

The confidence you gain can be misread.

Does anyone like living with inaccurate labels?

Be intentional anyway.

You are intense and you should be grateful

Lent
Yesterday, less than 24 hours ago.

You are intense and you should be grateful.

Intensity is a gift everyone receives, but not everyone unwraps.

Walt Disney was intense.

Steve Jobs was intense.

Anyone who has ever pushed the limits on what is possible has had to live with the constant headwind of resistance.

For a bicyclist (which i am) on a flat road, a headwind can make peddling feel like the journey is uphill.

But the cyclist knows headwinds will calm, and hills will be summited.

Never feel guilty when you are being true to yourself in an effort to push the boundaries on what is possible.

Reminds me of Jesus.

The distinct outcome in the difference between the habits we nurture or don’t nurture – the contrast between surviving the daily grind or thriving in spite of it.
