Honeymoon bicycle trip on the San Juan Islands
One of Puget Sound’s San Juan Islands, 1984.

Promised him it’s for his own good. In the pool last night we talked at length about “stuff”.

i drove the agenda which was fairly organic (not pre-meditated).

  1. Honesty
  2. Behave admirably
  3. Personal responsibility
  4. Self-control

Introduced a fifth concept:

Initiative

How can i give you keys to a vehicle in which you could get killed or you could kill someone else if you can’t handle the little things, like refilling the soap dispenser in your bathroom?

Cross it and it could backfire

Charlie Brown image
A few days ago during the trailer for an upcoming Charlie Brown movie.

Allow your child the opportunity to do anything, but don’t provide so much opportunity they do nothing.

Both the child and the parent will sweat it out because the line between the two is not well defined.

Cross it and it could backfire.

And so it goes.

Praying for creative, and, authentic wisdom.

Disney Institute FaceBook update yesterday:

This is Mid Life Celebration’s offering as well.

Kinda cool how alike Disney and MLC are.

Cut from the very same cloth.

Praying for the wisdom to know the difference

Excerpt from Spotting the Sacred

(photo: excerpt from Spotting the Sacred… set our bar ridiculously high? Yes.)

Praying for the wisdom to know the difference.

Live above reproach.

Impossible?

That’s a question only one person can answer.
