Day 8 CCL, spirit

two hikers on a mountain
Evan is a retail clerk in West Glacier. Cheryl struck up a conversation (like we both do) while we experienced Glacier.
handwritten notes on a notebook page
Evan wanted to summit a Glacier peak. He had no chance, until Cheryl discovered his wish and knew i was itching to get back up on Oberlin. Shortly after summiting, Evan shared his notebook. He invites people from his travel/summer/work to sign his notebook. Some wrote one line, some a few sentences. The high-achiever in me logged a full page.

From Oberlin’s peak, Bishops Cap on the horizon. Oberlin’s lower-summit profile.

In 28 Oberlin summits, have never seen Swiftcurrent Lookout in this configuration.

Zooming in a bit. So amazing.

Turning 90-degrees to the left to capture Clements. Reynolds, top left, made a three second tease-appearance.
38-second video: Time-lapse on our way to Oberlin’s summit.
29-second video: This was Evan’s idea. Evan is a retail clerk at Highland general store, which shares the same space as our ‘go-to’ restaurant in West Glacier.

Service and sharing the ‘good news’ has unlimited possibilities.

Simply hearing a person’s greatest current wish and being able to easily surprise and delight is just one of the unlimited ways.
