Last night as we debated life philosophies

Orlando Diocese Men's Rise Up conference
Everyone is amazing. It’s a God-given gift. But the devil has other plans. The devil’s rule is to make everyone doubt and deny God’s gift.

There are literally (always) exceptions to every rule.

People joke about the only things being certain, and without exception, is that taxes will increase and every human will eventually die.

Last night as we debated life philosophies, you challenged my principles as being too general. Your argument is that the rules aren’t ever black and white.

To which i countered with this notion: Every rule (principle) i share will always have exceptions. But the fact remains that the rules cover the overwhelming majority of people or circumstances.

Faith, hope, and love are the guiding lights for every religion.

Sure there are fractions of people won’t follow this, but they are the microscopic percentage of the whole.

Reflecting on this now (30 days later), can you see my side more clearly?

You can stop praying at any time.

What good do prayers yield anyway?

Will you stop or keep praying, day in and day out?

This video trailer arrived in my email in-box a few hours ago.

There’s time to kill when you arrive very early.

Of course i volunteered – they asked.

And the Coach’s email said timers get to sit in the shade.

Got there early to grab a shady seat.

What constitutes a blessing?

Daily living captured in text. Yesterday, a Tuesday.

What constitutes a blessing?

The joy of ordinary days.

We all forget things from time to time.

Counting my (simple) blessings to have the opportunity to rearrange my work schedule to help out.

Too busy to be part of a spiritual community?

Success habits
Everyone should have their own list, not someone else’s. Be active in your community, for example.

Too busy to be part of a spiritual community?

Before you know it, you’ll be older (much older than now) and you’ll wonder why you feel alone and isolated, bitter and resentful, hopeless and afraid.

When it’s easier to sleep in on Sunday, when it’s easier to skip “this Sunday”, when it’s easier to “take a day off to do nothing”, remember, habits are forming and the clock is ticking.
