What you got?, spirit

Wild roadside daisies
Our favorite flower has always been roadside wild daisies. Since we met in 1979.

What you got?

Obviously i’m not an Olympic Coach.

This is me every morning, since April Fools Day, 2009.

Daily, i’m answering the “what you got?” question.

Mentally.

Physically.

Spiritually.

At work.

At home.

Got any ideas?

10-second video: Literally just an ordinary day in my hometown.
The Nursing College CEO for Galen
An up and coming Nursing College is opening an Orlando campus Spring 2025. Cinderella Castle, and other iconic Orlando symbols adorn this 30-foot long hallway wall.
The nursing college CEO and me. Yesterday. All these ‘thoughts’ they heard from me. The exception is their “Building the Lamp”.

Great ideas can, and should, come from anywhere.

The brand new employee.

The 30-year employee.

The executive.

The janitor.

The customer.

A movie.

A setback.

Your competition.

Anyone in any industry.

While walking during a vacation.

While paying attention to details you used to under-focus on or ignore.

Doing it again

Behind the Church again. It is completely dark yet somehow the new iPhone’s camera has a low light feature that stunningly makes this photo look like dawn – it’s pitch black in reality.

Doing it again, but with a slight creative change.

Two days ago all five blog posts were written on an iPhone while walking to and from the gym.

Today, only this website is being written while walking. All five blog posts today are using photos from today’s walk, taken and added as i walk.

The significant, yet easily overlooked, insight is the glimpse into how i am slowly experimenting with an entirely different way to blog. Much of our progress is imperceptible, until one day, bam, a breakthrough.

The beauty of paradox

Good list to carry with you all day, every day.

The beauty of paradox is that you can think and see things that few think and see.

My definition of paradox is that there are two ends of a spectrum.

One end is the status quo and the other is a dark and lonely place no one visits.

The dark and lonely place is my favorite.

Why?

Because breakthroughs reside there.

What if every step we take is “Church”?

There are 55 remaining days for after-school hugs.

Began officially counting them down last Monday (2 months, or 60 days out).

A couple thousand hugs in the bank, so the reality of this coming to an end soon doesn’t produce anxiety.

August 16 will be our son’s last official pre-college night with us. That’s 159 days from today (March 10).

And that means ony 159 more mornings on my knees at the foot of his bed for three daily prayers.

Time waits for no one.
