Aging.

Advantage or disadvantage?

In my (humble, hopefully) opinion, aging is an emotional blessing.

Hard stop.

(and the context is you’re living with a growth mindset)

The longer you live, the more you see what matters and what doesn’t.

When i was younger and trying to climb the work ladder, i was deeply, even obsessively, worried about what others thought of me.

Now?

Not a chance!

In hell. Not a snowball’s chance in hell!

Time (aka aging) is a remarkable teacher, coach, mentor, friend.

Aging is cool.

Happy present moment.

Showtime.

Huh?

Showtime.

It’s showtime.

Been saying it since starting a quarter-century professional speaking career at Disney Institute in 1999.

And after 27 years of saying it, the context is different.

The context now…

The retirement show.

The final season of life.

Life’s final three segments: Retirement, old age, death.

Uncharted territory.

Making its debut in 2026 (now).

Spiritual taxes

Spiritual taxes are paid as we engage in love or hate, acceptance or prejudice, peace or fear, contentment or chaos, forgiveness or punishment, surrender or anxiety, you name it.

Some taxes make perfect sense.

Some taxes are expensive.

Some taxes seem unwarranted, even foolish.

It is up to me to choose my thoughts.

Then, from my choices, fair taxes and unfair taxes are levied.

It’s been a decades-long goal to get and stay in the live-and-let-live tax bracket.

Peace and contentment has a ‘risk-tax’ that i gladly pay as if it’s a luxury tax.
