Become the gratitude expert

Gratitude is the greatest superpower.

dad

Please know i’ve spent 60+ years thinking about priorities. The past 20 years at world-class .think .differently level.

You do not have to agree with me.

In fact, i don’t expect you to.

You know what i expect from others who read this?

Nothing.

You know anyone who thinks this deep and broad?

If someone comes to mind, share their contact info and i’ll reach out.

It feels like the wilderness.

Lonely sometimes, but always worth my time.

The spiritual way

Roadside wild flower
Every time i see daisies, i think of Cheryl. Note, they’re everywhere.

The spiritual way is whatever way you want.

You’re in charge of your beliefs.

How will you know if it’s the right way?

You will be at peace with who you are and content with what you have.

Amazed and amazing

14-second video: be amazed and be amazing…your blessings and your opportunities.

Amazed at the courage and tenacity i demonstrated to reach Piegan’s summit. Near the summit, saw two other climbers far off. Never saw them again.

Amazing that i pushed myself so far past my previous comfort zone. Now, today, two years later, the obvious question – should i have done that alone? September 29, 2020. Literally no one there to assist if you get into a challenge requiring more than one person to solve.

Note: September 29 is important context. Any day in late September or early October may be the last day the Pass (and the road) is accessible. Few visitors this time of year. And quite literally no one heading to Piegan’s summit. Perhaps no one heading there until next Summer.

Remembering how every day begins

i remember how every day begins – by remembering why i commit to starting every day on my knees.

Gratitude for the gift of another day.

Breath in my lungs.

Drinkable water.

A clean shirt.

Freedom.

The constant opportunity to serve others.

And, an opportunity to gift our Son (and humanity) with a seven-book Disney Business-Wisdom book series.

Insanely humbled

Kuwait Towers restaurant placemat
Lunch with Jody Maberry. Jody flew in from Seattle.

Insanely humbled by the capability to move freely, with stamina and strength.

Fully aware at any time this can change in an instant.

Fully aware some are battling unimaginable physical (mental, emotional, career, and home) obstacles.

Everything i write makes generous exceptions to the obvious and not-so-obvious people living with unimaginable obstacles.

Every other able-bodied human on the planet though, i’m writing for us.
