What Church do you go to?

Church is metaphorical for community.

Something was missing in our lives.

In 1999, after 15 years in Orlando – including full-time careers at Disney – something was missing.

i felt what was missing could be found in a Church community.

Told Cheryl, “You’re more Catholic than i am Luthern, and i don’t think God cares, so i’ll turn Catholic.”

After 18 months of official RCIA training, i was confirmed.

Never knew the comforting power of a sense of community, but intuitively i knew it would be better than not having a sense of community.

Work already takes us away from our Family, why let volunteering add to the absence?

It’s not going to last, so don’t try to make it last

Space Mountain
Walking back to the car, i’ve never seen Space Mountain lit like this before. The combo of artificial light and the sunset was remarkable.

It’s not going to last, so don’t try to make it last.

None of us will live forever.

This means absolutely nothing to most of us.

Now imagine if it meant everything.

Can’t do it, right?

Too intense, no?

Dying with regret sounds too intense, to me, to be honest.

So let me say this in plain English – there has always been a finite time span for each of us.

Time.

Limited.

Extinguishable.

No exceptions.

Period.

Clearer?

The goal, therefore, is to live in the moment, because the moment, in reality, is all we have right now.

Too lofty?

Dave's House Insights that Inspire
With a ton of work to do, i still invested four hours to attend yesterday morning’s presentation.

Dave’s House is dedicated to providing hope to the mentally ill.

This is the essence of Mid Life Celebration’s mantra:

Do something great before you die.

As Baby Boomers retire, they’ll have discretionary time they never had as an adult.

A golden opportunity the world has been waiting for?

You are so worth it

Disney executive consultant

If you made it to this third blog, thank you (again).

Just really grateful that there are people like you in the world who can see a bigger picture and that the bigger picture is balance.

Hard as heck to achieve, but so worth trying.

And when the going gets tough, here’s to wishing you great internal strength to persevere.
