Three lessons Glacier taught me about spirituality

Lake McDonald Lodge lobby. No two lamp shades are the same. All hand-painted.

Three lessons Glacier taught me about spirituality:

  • Nature is God manifested in everything you see, as far as you can see.
  • Be nice, and friendly, to people on the trail.
  • What you do on the trail and what you do away from Glacier should match.

You’ll know when you finally know

Last night after dinner, from the Lake McDonald marina dock.

You’ll know when you finally know, you know?

What?

The meaning of life.

Son, enjoy your exploration.

Have some great anchors and continue to discover more.

Anchors like values, people, experiences, books, traditions, joy, gratitude, surrender, forgiveness…the list of good and decent things is long, and powerful.

All natural ingredients

A National Park, or nature in general, can be “Church”.

All natural ingredients.

  • Fresh air
  • Mountains
  • Lakes
  • Wildlife
  • Minimal human-made structures

The Church pews are rocks, logs, or the ground.

The sermon is whatever thoughts you have that aren’t easily available in “civilization”.

From great karma to minuscule odds

In the London airport, i spot a Disney colleague, Sharon. Her husband installed our current home’s first landscape project.

From great karma to minuscule odds.

Waiting in the London airport yesterday for a flight update i spot a familiar Disney face.

What are the odds. Great karma continues.

Such a small world.

After all.

Simultaneous translation gratitude

Diego and Vivian shared simultaneous translation duties backstage.

Simultaneous translation gratitude goes to Diego (pictured above) and Vivian (whom i met after the photo opportunity).

The original goal – and i asked permission to do this publicly – was to say thanks to Diego and Vivian at the speech’s start so the audience could feel a connection to the Spanish voice in their ear, translating the Disney Creativity messages.

Dear Son, i forgot.

PS. Asked Thinking Heads to get their emails so i could apologize. They were gone soon after my speech.
