Falling behind

Hiking with severely limited visibility is not for me. It was challenging to convert an expected hiking day to a rest day. Do what you have to do, right?

Last year in room 10, wifi was awesome. This year, non-existent. Here’s what walking around yielded…only 4 rooms receive in-room wifi. Cell signal is just ok, not good. Key: 2d is two double beds…Q is one queen bed. All my 2020 reservations are for 2d. Wifi is only in four Q rooms (noted on map). Pursuit converted my weekly reservations so i could be in wifi zone.
  • This was just ok. Glad to try it while in town versus at Granite Park Chalet. Loved experimenting. It’s how we learn.
  • Lunch (and dinner) table is my lap and a plastic Adirondack chair. Western State’s wildfires continue to reduce visibility and move air quality to dangerous.

For the past seven years, i return from Glacier and brainstorm how to maximize life’s structure and process.

Why?

For extended periods being off-the-grid, i over-compensate after returning home to Walt Disney World.

Playing catch up is hypocritical to my values.

Playing catch up robs me (us) of the present moment.

The vision is to return from Glacier and not have to do any catchup work.

With each year, a structure, process, or priority is tweaked.

Got blindsided this year – and overwhelmed with catching up.

The reality is each Summer there is enough catch up work that the volume produces stress and disharmony.

Making good wifi and cell signal 2020’s top priority was a huge change. And i banked on it being a game changer.

Yes and, didn’t foresee a 50-consecutive day trip.

Life is not meant for this

Video explains what to do after passing the pond.
The three basins are in photo, center. My Siyeh is a huge mountain and it’s sides are decieving.
Three basins, from this angle, are easily spotted. But from the summit trail, i have yet to see them. We are on Matahpi Mountain looking across to Siyeh.
Siyeh is massive. It can easily confuse if you are not 100% certain where you are going.

Life is not meant for cramming and regretting.
