One good reason to be nice to unhappy people

Being extraordinarily nice, all the time, is art

Be nice to unhappy people, they are merely advertising their pain.

We all have the weight of the world on our shoulders. Every last one of us.

The ones that do not seem to be advertising have simply fired their advertising agency. They (the ‘happy people’) accept that life is very difficult and figure out their own unique way to get what they need to deal with it.

And they often feel overwhelmed (even daily) for long periods of time.

Nice people aren’t lucky, they’re warriors.

Stand for something

Spring tree blossoms
Believing in a creator allows us to have someone to thank for the beauty surrounding us

Stand for something. The dilemma with not having a spiritual center means that we don’t have something, anything, that we can say with conviction is the center of our emotional core.

Christians are truly embracing their love, faith, and hope when they don’t make non-Christians feel uncomfortable that Jesus isn’t in the center of their life.

A wise Christian knows one thing, Jesus is the center of everything they believe. Everything.

And the beauty of loving Jesus is there is the face of our Father – who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Love is not making others uncomfortable. In the same way we would not want someone to tell us Jesus is not the center is the same as us not telling them He is.

Sometimes the hopelessness is overwhelming

World wide audiences
World wide audiences

Speaking to all walks of life personally and professionally, say a million people, you’re experienced in assessing the vibe of an audience. Sometimes the hopelessness is overwhelming.

A typical audience is a 20/60/20 curve.

  • 60% have a wait and see attitude
  • 20% are against you before you even start

Yesterday I prayed for a deeper wisdom when the bottom number seemed higher.

I liked the approach. Today is most likely more of the same.
