What would happen to us if we celebrated our birthday everyday?

no one has a foggy notion as to why we don’t celebrate everyday

What would happen to us if we celebrated our birthday everyday?

Why don’t we?

Lorie said she doesn’t need to remain anonymous

Dave Eitel lived uncommonly well

Lorie Sheffer has been my friend since first grade. Here’s Lorie’s reply to me asking if she’d mind me using her email:

“Jeff, this one was a no-brainer. Dave Eitel was one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever known. We weren’t terribly close, just friendly neighbors with kids who knew one another. But he was one of those people who made everyone feel special. I’d run into him at the grocery store, and he would act like seeing me was the highlight of his day. He did that to everyone.

After Gary’s stroke, I was so terrified, and I asked for him. He wasn’t on duty, but as soon as he got my message he came up from the ER and read through Gary’s chart and spoke to me. He didn’t sugar coat how bad it was, but he made me feel more calm just by being there. He was so kind when I saw him in the ICU, when Dad was in a coma.

When I texted Ian that Dave had died, the first thing he said was, “I hope he was at home surrounded by his family.” And he was.”

The most influential man in history and why

unconditional love
man’s best friend for a reason – unconditional love (same with Jesus)

The most influential man in history? Jesus.

Why? No other person, ever, has left such a compelling argument that Love is all that matters. That there is no place for violence, for any reason.

Ever.

That forgiveness, for even the most heinous sin, is possible.

That’s literally impossible to comprehend.

Religion and the legend of cargo pants. At Sport Clips this week for a hair cut. How boring is that for a blog post entry. (yawn)

Two 20-something strangers coincidently in line. Both wearing the same style pants. All the rage, right?

Does our spiritual consciousness ebb and flow like our fashion consciousness? Probably.

Lent. Easter. Long break. Then Christmas.
