Crowds are great if you are an accountant.

Many people judge funerals by the number of people that attend. These same people believe a bunch of people will then say nice things about the deceased person so that everybody can know what a great person the deceased was while on this planet.

This came to me now while biking past a cemetery. Just stopped to dictate this blog post. And it dawns on me it would be better for a person to have a great life and everyone important to that person knows exactly where they stand.

Essentially, the attendees wouldn’t need to hear a bunch of other people’s stories.

The attendees didn’t need a funeral to have other people share the deceased person’s story.

The attendees have their own library of wonderful memories.

Blogging is serving

Blogging is serving.

Perhaps to most people this isn’t obvious, but blogging is first and foremost service to self.

If you cannot master personal vibrancy, you are never going to teach personal vibrancy (from your personal behaviors) to anyone else.

First victory happens inside.

And once you master self, you become a guide for those you love most.

Debuts today on Disney+. You have a family family. You also have a work (Disney) family.

Our (Disney) tradition to work while others play has clear context. When you are hired for a front-line operational role, “We work while others play” means these things and we are crystal clear about it when we hire you:

  • You will work nights, weekends, holidays
  • Your shift may start at 3:00 AM
  • Your shift may end at 3:00 AM
  • Your schedule, by union contract, is based on company seniority

This is why waiting 13 years was reasonable before initially asking for vacation during the last week of the year.
