I’m in a hurry to get things done. I rush and rush until life’s no fun. All I really gotta do is live and die, and I’m in a hurry and don’t know why”. – Line from an Alabama song
But at least I’m aware and trying to change.
And you?

There was a Seinfeld scene taking place in a New York cafe and the chef said, “No soup for you!”
It became a famous phrase people would say when someone didn’t deserve something.
Well, everyone deserves today’s jeffnoel.org blog, however, “No blog for you!” simply means I ran out of time today.
Goodnight from North Carolina.
Rejoice In The Lord. That was Sunday’s message. Rejoice!
This is a great goal, to rejoice. How is it done though? Life is so crazy busy that sometimes, I don’t know what day it is.
Ever feel like that?
Or, perhaps some people, this year especially, are struggling so much financially, that they can’t see straight.
So, what are we supposed to do? How does one rejoice under these circumstances?
We all know the answer, don’t we?
Emmanuel.
God with us.
What more can we ask for?
God is with us.
The challenge that we have as busy humans, is to pause in our rush, and focus on this fact – God is with us.
The even bigger challenge? To do this long after the Christmas reminders are gone.
In everything, give thanks. Every day.
I’m thankful:
Saying it, and not meaning it, is the worst example we can set for people looking to us for a role model. For someone who wants to believe that sacred words and thoughts are more than just words or thoughts.
People are looking for someone who walks the talk, as we say in America. Someone who practices what they preach.
I keep looking for that person in the mirror. Still coming up short. And I’m thankful for that too. I’m also thankful that I keep trying, and after 50 years, still have not given up.
