Surprise and delight

Scott and i met on LinkedIn in 2009+-.

Scott reached out to me.

He plans to be a Jungle Cruise Skipper after he retires. So in 2009+- it made sense to hear from him.

He worked for the Clinton foundation for 10 years as an attorney.

Why we are still connected after all these years is beyond me.

But after the past two days, it sure feels like karma and serendipity.

Time will tell.

Over-focus on the same things others under-focus on or ignore.

Long ago a Disney landscaper, Nick (the one we hired to do our first home landscaping), taught me to, when appropriate, ‘scar’ the root bound plant.

Loosen the roots, with your hands or a tool if needed, before planting.

If you don’t set the roots free from the suffocating formation their pot-prision has prompted, the tree will act like it’s still in a small pot, even though it’s in the ground.
