Day 5 West Glacier, spirit

airport camp supply store
Have known the owners for many years. We met over the phone one January as i reserved a bicycle for June. One year i gifted them a night at Granite Park Chalet because we couldn’t make it and there was no refund available.

The West Glacier clerk (that checked me in) was exceptionally relaxed and friendly yesterday.

The day before she was alone.

Yesterday she had two colleagues with her.

The change was as dramatic as day and night.

Funny how stress and anxiety choke who we really are.

And by funny, i don’t mean funny when it comes to stress. i mean weird.

And not a good weird.

Note: Weird to me is generally a compliment or asset.

Day 3 West Glacier, spirit

Found one of these “clamps” on the ground and had no idea what it was. Started looking around and realized on both sides of the track for as far as the track goes every few feet they’re there.

Peace rewards you with the present moment.

Contentment rewards you with enjoying the present moment.

Seasonal workers have an emotional life-cycle during the season.

The honeymoon season.

The mid-session lull, doldrums.

The end of the season mixed bag.

It is not restricted to a single employee.

It is not restricted to a single layer of employees.

It may be the greatest leadership challenge for super special, iconic, restorative, inspiring places like our National Parks.
