2 L’s and 2 R’s

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

2 L’s and 2 R’s:

  • Launch
  • Learn
  • Revise
  • Repeat

These four steps are your template for continuous improvement.

Today is a great day for a great day.

Diversity of perspective

White board at Glacier Park Lodge front desk yesterday.

Truth or dare.

If a person doesn’t have balance in their life, it is difficult (impossible?) for me to believe their espoused convictions.

Why?

If you can’t find harmony between mind, body, spirit, work, and home, you immediately tell me you struggle with the basics.

Therefore, unwavering spiritual convictions, for example, have me doubting your ability to see the diversity of other spiritual and religious dogmas.

A fundamental definition of love and compassion includes not judging others.

PS. While it may seem this post is judgemental, what i’m illuminating is a Christian tendency to subconsciously say all other religions are invalid.

Christians, now imagine an entire worldwide Muslim community implying that Jesus is not the world’s Savior.

That’s what it sounds like to our fellow humans when we say the only way to God is through Jesus.

Long list of grateful things

Logan Pass parking lot in lower right as we descend from Reynolds saddle.

Long list of grateful things:

  • No rain
  • Light wind
  • Stunning clouds
  • Wasn’t snowing
  • We are healthy
  • We are in Glacier

New views

Yesterday at Siyeh Pass, an unknown valley i discovered for the first time in 46 years.

Siyeh Pass trail was new to Rob and me yesterday. Brian, a St Mary Lodge employee was hiking it for the second time this Summer.

It was spiritual for me.

So many Glacier hikes under my belt.

Never Siyeh Pass trail.

Afterwards, i wondered why.

If you don’t have to, spiritually

Looking out at your life’s horizon, may you feel and enjoy peace and contentment.

If you don’t have to, why would you?

You’re an adult and you can take any spiritual life path you want, or none at all.

You’re in charge of your emotional core.

So, if you are not obligated nor mandated to have deep peace and contentment, why would you invest the time, energy, and karma to develop, maintain, and enhance your peace and contentment?
