The most significant thing to be grateful for

Martin Luther King photo and quote
Randomly found this yesterday in Harre Union Hall – Christmas is not only about joy, but the birth of never-ending love.

The most significant thing to be grateful for goes unnoticed and unappreciated all day, everyday.

It happens 24/7.

We seem oblivious.

Breath in our nostrils.

Merry Christmas.

And if you do not rejoice in Christmas, you are still wished an extraordinary “rejoiceful” day.

Up to my neck in gratitude

Quote about achieving peace
Yesterday from Facebook, source unknown.

Up to my neck in gratitude which feeds and nourishes my soul against the devil’s weapons:

  • Regret
  • Fear
  • Doubt
  • Discontent

i continuously study all day, everyday for a test we’d all like to pass, but few volunteer to take.

To willingly give up my life for the life of another.

To complain is to fail

Victor Frankl quote
Photo from a friend’s Facebook update. Frankl was in a Nazi Concentration Camp.

Dear runner with lofty dreams, very sorry to hear about the recent injury (still undiagnosed) that has prevented you from maximizing your training in the final month leading up to the 2015 Masters Track & Field National Championships.

Here’s God’s advice:

Get over it.

To complain is to fail.

Count your blessings.

There are many.

By the time you finish thinking about all of them, your injury will be healed and there will be another race to run.

You’re welcome.

Lower the bar on what makes you happy

Top wellness keynote speakers
Wearing this shirt all week in honor of Steve Prefontaine.

The joy is in the journey, not the destination.

Obviously there is joy in the destination, but why wait all that time?

Seriously, why?

Lighten up. Get focused. Savor. Lower the bar on what makes you happy. Lower it even more on what makes you grateful.
