Most anxiety stems from neglect

Disney Leadership Keynote Speaker Jeff Noel
A teacher’s favorite thing is a willing student.

Most anxiety stems from neglect.

Neglecting faith, hope, love.

Neglecting optimism, forgiveness, surrender, gratitude, kindness, generosity.

Neglecting the present moment.

You see the math on this, right?

Neglecting gives birth to ailments – small ailments and big ailments like a complete lack of peace and contentment.

A vicious cycle.

Your antidote?

A virtuous cycle.

Make your every step, “Church”.

It’s far too easy to see Sunday incorrectly

Wireless chargers
Picked these up at Apple Store yesterday. Two less steps…plugging in a device to charge, and unplugging it when you need the device.

It’s far too easy to see Sunday incorrectly.

What if it wasn’t?

Obviously it’s ridiculously easy to sleep in.

Easy to use Sunday as a catch-up day.

Time-strapped human beings. So busy that we believe that saving a few seconds here and there make a difference.

What if Sunday was devoted to community, relationships, and being present?

Play the hand you’re dealt

Epcot's Spaceship Earth
Last night walking out. Our almost 16-year old son on right.

Play the hand you’re dealt.

If you’ve grown up in a Family that isn’t known for keeping in touch, and you wonder why you rarely hear from your friends, extended Family, or children, why do you think this is your reality?

No doubt this can feel, and probably does feel, overwhelming.

Now, imagine what your children feel.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Neglect has an insidious way of crushing us

How this caught my eye is a mystery.

Neglect has an insidious way of crushing us.

And it started a long time ago with being really busy.

The echo from Lane 8…

What’s your claim? I am USATF (Lane 8).

The echo from Lane 8…

Here’s a dirty little secret – later never comes.

With exercise.

And often, with loving Jesus (or whomever or whatever you worship).

The insidious decline of positive dreams and habits.

We covered mind, body, and spirit so far… clicking Blog (below) takes us to money where for decades, we stay on the treadmill of life, waiting for retirement to start living…
