Happy Summer Solstice

Couple days ago. Photo: Louisville, Kentucky where we met in 2018. It was all i could do to not smile. This moment lasted .5 seconds.

Use your talent to deliver your punchline.

Your punchline is what you offer that others benefit from.

Use your skill for the well-being of humanity.

Sent the photo to Michael Jr yesterday and a note. He replied back and sent a link to his March 20, 2020 Covid-19 comedy movie, More Than Funny. It’s funny, but no longer public.

He’s has a ton of free videos, he’s clean, and incredibly funny (and inspiring).

Note: On this April 21, 2020 morning, Summer Solstice seems so far away. It’s not. Grateful for being mindful that it’s coming and find it interesting that the solstice’s arrival is the same day before (yesterday) this publishes.

Luck?

Get toasted at Church?

Toasted restaurant near Disney’s Magic Kingdom, yesterday for dinner on the way home from High School.

Get toasted at Church?

Why not?

i’m defining toasted as being under the influence of something that overpowers our normal and rational state.

Your spirit is your most underused personal asset

Small Catholic Church
It would be 15+ years later when i decided to become Catholic. Pictured is Cheryl and i leaving the Church on June 25, 1983.

Your spirit is your most underused personal asset.

And if you’re not careful, this lasts a lifetime.

Do your best to overcome this.

PS. We used birdseed instead of rice (it’s better for the birds). But we didn’t have a grasp on how fallen balloons pollute and harm our environment.

Be passionate, tell stories, use personal examples

church donation envelope
Yesterday morning, like i always do, made a small change before handing it to our Son to put in the collection basket.

Be passionate, tell stories, use personal examples.

Our lead Pastor, Father John, has been with us for about two years. We are still getting to know him. Father Ennis retired after 50 years in the Priesthood. Father John has big shoes to fill.

Told Father John yesterday as we left Church, “Really enjoyed your story about Buddy (his dog).”

He used his personal story to add a real-life illustration for the powerful bond people and pets enjoy and thrive on.

The sermon was about the difference between a loving shepherd and a non-committed shepherd.

He also mentioned being an athlete at one time. We’ve never heard any sports analogies.

It hit me – seeing that side of him might help us see him as more real.

Who doesn’t like more real?

No promises…maybe some more real stories from my past.
