ima be a Pastor too

Outdoor concert stage being erected in a field
Church field setting up Christmas Eve eve concert stage. Music and PA system sound checks, rehearsals and performance went from 3pm -8pm. Neighbors brown roof next to stage and concert speakers.

Many years ago someone asked, “What do you do?”

The candid reply, “i preach the Gospel according to Walt.”

Meeting an “officially titled Pastor” would intimidate some.

Fortunately, this is not an issue in jeff-land.

Not now.

Perhaps 10, 15, or 20 years ago.

But not now.

Not at all.

This will be a feedback exchange/dialogue session. Both ways.

The neighboring Church sounds like a commercial entertainment business.

A chainlink fence is the only thing separating the business noise from our backyards.

Does one bad apple spoil everything?

Columbia Harbor House window at Disney World
We had dinner at Columbia Harbor House restaurant between Haunted Mansion and Peter Pan’s Flight.

Does one bad apple spoil everything?

Many people don’t like religion because there are people who are extremists or perhaps worse, there are people who are so luke-warm, you can’t see any integrity in their professed commitment.

Somewhere in the middle is where we have the best chance to decide for ourselves and for the right reasons.

Start here…

What is the highest human value?

i say it’s love.

What’s our model for understanding love and for demonstrating love in our daily lives?

This should help us form our own decent decisions.

And if we choose not to decide, we still have made a choice.

Those darn Christians

Those darn Christians.

People say or think that all the time.

It’s true.

What message does that send to someone within that group?

(Say, um, jungle jeff for example.)

Feels like profiling.

Discrimination.

Unintentional probably.

Right?

But it still happened.

Be a giver and a forgiver.

It’s the best chance Christianity has to change people’s minds about us darn Christians.
