Time to laugh

One of the Executive Coaching questions i routinely ask is, “Since our last call two weeks ago, did you laugh out loud at work?”

Have you ever felt this kind of non-stop hatred?

Have you ever felt this kind of non-stop hatred?

Probobly not.

What if you – or someone you love – did?

Begs the question, “Why is this a thing in our world?”

Will you trust your gut?

Biking at Walt Disney World from jeff noel on Vimeo.

Will you trust your gut?

Captured the video above while approaching Magic Kingdom yesterday.

There was no traffic in either direction.

But there was a Disney Monorail nearby.

My gut said i could safely capture six seconds of video with zero danger to myself or others.

My gut also told me i could leave a 30-year Disney career and start my own enterprise.

However, starting something from nothing seemed very dangerous.

There is never a guarantee your thing will work.

Trust your gut?

Palm Sunday Grace = Overwhelmed

At Chruch yesterday with a standing room only crowd (2k+-) as the Deacon, the Priest, and i read the Palm Sunday story to our congregation – a stunning moment…

Deacon played the narrator, Father John portrayed Jesus, the congregation played the part of “the crowd”, and i proclaimed the voice of assorted other characters in the story.

Five minutes into the 15-minute group narration, i lost my place.

Panic.

Unbelievable embarrassment.

Then more panic, if that was even possible.

The harder i worked to scan the reading to find where we were, the worse it got.

Deacon Larry covered for me by reading two of my parts.

Disney taught me to stay calm under pressure.

i left my position, walked over to the cantor, apologized and “begged” for help.

In the end, it all worked out.

The blessing was that Chapin got to see my hugely public “mistake” and how i handled it.

These moments don’t define us, our reaction and recovery do.

National Women’s Day 2018

National Women’s Day goes back as far as 1908.

And like i say about Christmas and Easter, we come to know the true meaning of National Women’s Day when we learn to celebrate it every day.

This post is recorded written live today, March 8.

My blogging Network “airs” this post on April 8.

Will National Women’s Day be a faded, forgotten, or important memory as you read this 30 days after the fact?
