Pain Is Everywhere

Saturday at Church, I attended the monthly Men’s Emmaus group meeting. It’s a spiritual dip in the well, so to speak.

In the course of 1.5 hours, I heard two profoundly challenging, and life-altering Family situations that would make most people cave in desperation.

This is where fellowship comes in.

God will never, ever abandon you.

Ever.

Period.

If you do not feel close to God, guess who moved?

Have you tried complete surrender?

Do you ever get the chance to look back in time, for laughs, for posterity, for memories?

Our Church community friends lost their beloved daughter, and were advertising a dinner gala, featuring Lou Holtz, to raise money for the foundation they established in their daughter’s memory.

Mine was an unplanned attempt to do something, however small, to help their cause.

Mother Teresa reminds us that if you can’t do great things, do small things with great Love.

What Will It Take?

When you’re waiting for the light to turn green, sitting in your vehicle, or on the bus, does your mind ever wander into crazy territory?

You think of something and you can’t recall where such a powerful thought was born.

Ann Rice recently denounced organized religion.

Her son is gay. Anne Rice is in conflict.

It occurred to me that she is committing the very sin she is opposing.

What will it take?
