It was easier than i thought

Yesterday at Mall at Millenia for a business meeting.

 

It was easier than i thought. And it was not the reason for the meeting. Had a business meeting yesterday which included an opportunity to personally share that i have disconnected with 360 people on personal Facebook (as opposed to Facebook Pages). Normally, the stereotypical first reaction when someone “unfriends us” is anger, hurt, and confusion. This did not happen.

i’ve told Chapin (15) to make as many mistakes now (before moving away) as he can – and have the help and support from us. The caveat is that he can’t do anything hurtful, immoral, unethical, etc. For example, ask someone out who might say no, take a risk, get involved, speak up, stand out, blend in, don’t get involved, play it safe, etc, etc…everything comes with choices and consequences…some we will regret doing and many we will regret not doing – learn to overcome fear, create effective (and maybe efficient) decision making processes, etc, etc.

What happens when you leave?

Last night while surfing Disney Institute’s website. It’s easy to leave the Church too.

 

Cheryl went to work yesterday (Sunday) morning because her workload is intense right now. (She also worked all day Saturday too.) Our Son and i went to Mass in the morning. Later in the day i asked him to shape his opinion of Christians based on the ones who seem less hypocritical.

Is our self-worth tied to likes, comments, number of “friends”?

Is our self worth tied to the joy, excitement, accomplishment, and love demonstrated in our posts?

Is our self worth tied to the diversity of our life – the well-rounded front we share?

Is our self worth an illusion because we (generally, and of course there are exceptions) post only our life’s “highlight” reel?
