Why would we choose the most difficult alternative?

Child's 1973 achievement certificate
In 1972, a lifetime ago, i won a trip to Disneyland.

Of course, it’s hard to make consistently great life choices.

What the heck though.

Isn’t it equally as difficult living with poor choices?

By the way, this applies to our spiritual health as much as it applies to our physical health.

So given the choice, why would we choose the most difficult alternative?

Keep overwhelm at bay

food choice quote
From Twitter yesterday. Author unknown.

Keep overwhelm at bay.

Because if i don’t, i can see first hand what my life will be like.

Observe people 20, 30 and 40 years ahead of you.

When they were your current age, were they doing what you are doing?

Or, were they not doing what you’re doing?

Mentally, physically, spiritually, career-wise, and at home?

When’s your morning prayer anniversary?

Bicycle lock
Yesterday at Golds Gym. Worked out for an hour and returned to find bike unlocked. Good karma.

When’s your morning prayer anniversary?

What?

The month and year you began starting every day on your knees in prayer.

When was that?

April 2000.

Is your phone working?

Disney's Wilderness Lodge lobby lights
We’ve come a long way from using smoke signals. Or are we still cloudy?

Is your phone working?

Why ask?

Our priest reminded everyone at Mass yesterday, “We are called to put ourselves in God’s hands.”

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Who will illuminate your day today?

Hidden Mickey at Typhoon Lagoon
Hidden Mickey at Typhoon Lagoon. Love the palm tree shadows on the ground.

Who will illuminate your day today?

Trick question.

Sorry.
