Open with no expectations

Decided to do something i’ve never done. Hike to the far end of Avalanche Lake.

Before leaving the hotel, i dressed warmer from the waist down and had additional layers for upper-body as a backup.

With an open mind and no expectations to hike, the day presented an unplanned opportunity.

What if i drove down to Avalanche Creek?

So i did.

Got Glacier history, spirit

Glacier became a National Park in 1910.

Two Lodges and a Hotel were built between 1913-1915.

Going-to-the-Sun Road opened in 1932.

Note: Glacier Park Lodge opened 1913, Lake McDonald Lodge opened 1914, and Many Glacier Hotel opened 1915.
