Happy present moment

A few weeks ago in Glacier National Park.

Happy present moment.

May you never have another moment of anger for the rest of your life.

Be present.

Be thankful.

Be grateful.

Right now.

And in a minute.

And in every moment, be present and thankful.

Exercise and gratitude love each other

iPhone photo app
Only 21 photos of the thousand or so from an 8-day trip. Photos and blessings – they are more alike than unalike.

Feeling so blessed to have:

  • A flexible Family
  • A habitually creative mindset
  • A health goal worth defending
  • The blessing of a temple (body) housing everything keeping me alive

In spite of life’s constant deluge of things to do, exercise never gets put on the back burner for long.

Help me believe I’m someone worth dying for

clever water bottle message
Last night at the Cross Country pasta party – noticed this on the water bottle.

Help me believe i’m someone worth dying for.

You’ve got to believe.

Right?

You’re not just some wondering soul.

Correct?

You, yes you, you are someone worth dying for.

i am?

Thank you Jesus.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Yesterday (Friday) felt like Saturday

Swimming pool deck prepared for hurricane
Prepared for the worst. Deeply grateful it never even came close.

Yesterday (Friday) felt like Saturday.

And then on Sundays, stereotypically, we are more spiritually aware then we are the other six days of the week.

What if we felt spiritually aware every day?

What holds us back from this Sunday-like spiritual awareness?

What if we weren’t held back?

What, if anything, would change?

What do the people who are spiritually aware every day do differently that others could learn to do?

Inconvenience is a blessing

punctured tire
Last night pulling into our subdivision we ran over a wire that embedded into the back tire.

Inconvenience is a blessing. Will have to address the punctured tire today. This will require several unanticipated hours of distraction.

The blessing is it wasn’t something:

  • Worse
  • Much worse
  • Catastrophic

Other blessings include:

  • A flexible work schedule
  • A creative mind
  • A backup car to use

The list is endless.
