Who is greater, the one who sits at the table and is served or the one who serves the table?
Obviously, the one who sits at the table.
Unless, that is, you understand paradox.

This is a little riff about being prepared before you ask for a life changing huge favor:
It’s been her project for the past 15 years. Her baby. The thing she has dreamt about and believes will make a difference in teaching Baby Boomers how to fearlessly navigate and use technology.
i agreed to talk with her, and generously committed to an hour. About 20 minutes in, a hidden agenda was discovered that was awkward because it blindsided me. It was uncomfortable.
She wanted me to be her ‘pitch’ man. Me.
She admitted that her book desperately needs to be updated. A contradiction to her commitment.
The premise before the call was to share advice, not become an ’employee’.
The call went ten minutes longer than scheduled, but i still had enough time to click on the email link Apple sent (after i easily scheduled an appointment) so that i could enjoy a 45-minute personal online tutorial.
Good luck to anyone trying to compete with Apple.

The things we can be grateful for often come from unexpected sources and sort of blindside us at first.
The marketing person’s email review and ‘bold’ website critique yesterday was exceptionally helpful.
It was a nice prompt to rewrite a few things at www.jeffnoel.com
That rewrite inspired the same at the other four blogs.
What was awkward was the timing. Her helpful critique was the result of her ‘fishing for business’. Betting she thought i wouldn’t notice her ulterior motive. No harm no foul, business is business – unless the customer (me in this case) reads right through it.

How many of us have a one track mind? Meaning, how many of us think the Church’s responsibility is to be there for us in our time of need? When do we carve out (daily?) time to pray for the Church volunteers and leaders?

Ryan, a Walt Disney World College Program Cast Member created a heart warming wow moment yesterday.
After dropping our son off with his friend at Epcot, there was some leisure, alone time to take a few photos.
This also led to purchasing a classic DVD, Tarzan.
After the sale, discovered there was no Cast discount, so in the moment, used Amazon to buy a much less expensive copy.
Then was directed by the Disney Merchandise Host to go to the other side of the shop to make an immediate return of the ‘expensive’ copy i had just purchased.
This is where a delightful exchange happened with Ryan. For starters he exuded Disney Gracious hospitality.
He answered the question stating, “After my internship I’m moving to New Orleans to be with my boyfriend”.
He said it so naturally and uninhibitedly. He was such a joyful and fearless person.
It was inspiring.
