Have you planned your end of life?

Tracy Chapman song
Touching song.

Have you planned your end of life?

Yes?

So excited and happy for you.

Call, or text to coordinate a call, and tell me all about it.

i (desperately) want to learn from you.

Or, if you answered no, why not?

You are planning to take care of it, right?

Because if you don’t know, no one else has got a clue.

The anxiety i feel at any given moment

Disney Creativity Speakers
Last night i had fun shooting a couple short videos for an International client. i set the bar high enough that i could reach it, but not so high i’d need professional help. Know your limits, yet if you can enjoy it, stretch yourself ever so slightly out of your comfort zone.

The anxiety i feel at any given moment is the combined results of how i think, how i nurture my physical and spiritual wellness, how i apply myself at work, and how organized i am at home.

All initial transformation efforts seem insurmountable because it involves so much change.

It’s overwhelming.

And like physical transformation, transforming our emotional IQ requires slow and steady application of the basics.

Practicing patience, kindness, generosity, forgiveness, compassion, faith, hope, thanksgiving…

Habits and rituals determine our mastery or misery.

While today is this, it is also almost this

Brooklyn Academy of Music
Brooklyn Academy of Music hosted yesterday’s Apple announcements event.

While today is this (Disney retirement 4th anniversary), it is also almost this…

The 10th anniversary of incorporating Mid Life Celebration, LLC.

So yeah, January 1, 2009, i officially registered my small business and got a tax ID.

The first six years had no revenue.

Can you imagine?

No, seriously, can you imagine?

i was still at Disney Institute and was in the slow and steady “build an asset” phase with blogging, social media, and writing/publishing the first book.

PS. i know it can be weird trying to read stuff that happened 60 days ago, but much of the other media we consume is similarly produced – live, but recorded, and then aired later. That’s all this is.

Be a noticer.

When you are, you’ll notice more than you used to.

Noticing more than you used to will open doors to thoughts, ideas, understanding, and dreams that heretofore where invisible.

What would you say if you gave a “last lecture”

Randy Pausch
Yesterday Facebook shared a memory – July 25 is the day in 2008 that Randy Pausch died.

A decade ago, Randy Pausch was famous for about a year.

He gave the infamous “Last Lecture” speech at Carnegie Mellon University where he was retiring.

He was retiring because he was going to die soon.

He wrote a book by the same name, before he died, to serve as a legacy for his three children (all under age seven).
