Made it to SunTrust (now Truist). Have lunch in the backpack. i’m hungry. 🥪
bank document
Been a customer since 1998. A mortgage and a home Equity Loan. No record of that on their end.

Gonna keep this short and sweet.

SunTrust (now Truist, a few months ago) let $40 be more important than a 24-year customer.

The error was no one’s fault, but is was easily fixed.

The Branch Manager (had a scheduled appointment) could not authorize $40. Reminded how awesome marketing can be, and how disconnected operations can be…

From my Truist account before embarking on today’s trek. That third sentence; sounds wonderful.

Envision a better future

7-second video: Beautiful dawn. Raspy, head-cold voice.

An unanswered question is a liability.

An even bigger liability is not having the right question.

Here are some examples of ’right questions’:

  • Are you satisfied?
  • Why?
  • Why not?
  • What are you willing to give up?

Ask like you mean it

Goofy on a Disney email
Garsh, if you can’t articulate your clear, concise, compelling vision, who in God’s name can?

You must lead the asking of dozens of great questions.

Nursing questions are a dime a dozen. Here’s a nickel’s worth;

  1. Why do nurses exist?
  2. Why do families need nurses?
  3. What would families do without nurses?
  4. What would doctors do without nurses?
  5. What would communities do without nurses?
  6. What makes a perfect nurse?

Why is there a profound nursing shortage?

Karma magnet

8-second video: The Great Plains’ Western boundary. Behind me is the Montana Rockies Eastern boundary.

Karma magnet.

What?

Good thoughts and good deeds attract the same.

Poor thoughts and poor deeds attract the same.

Good karma is like an internal compass, always pointing in the right direction.

Good thinking and poor thinking coexist. Good actions and poor actions coexist. Literally our Universe creates equal halves.

Light and dark.

Hot and cold.

Life and death.

What you focus on is what you see. The other stuff is always there, but you only look for the good.

You aren’t denying the other half exists, you simply ignore it.

You tune it out.

Now, all you hear is the good stuff. The possibilities, the hope, the faith, the steps you need to take.

It’s clear looking back

Mountain road
Chapin and bikes, lower right. The Loop. Heavens Peak, upper right.

It’s clear looking back.

Hindsight is 20/20 as they say.

Why?

Because you have two experiences, in hindsight.

First, you have the test.

Second, you have the results.

You never get the results without the test.

You can’t predict results.

If you could, hindsight becomes irrelevant.
